As a general rule, the line is drawn at PUNISHMENT AND FLOODING.

• Flooding: overwhelming animals with stimuli they can’t escape as a part of the training method.
• Punishment: Intentionally adding an aversive stimulus to decrease a behavior, or removing an appetitive stimulus to decrease a behavior.

Important: TSS is not a space for dogmatic or black-and-white beliefs around training. Many ‘methods’ create happy, healthy, well-adjusted animals. MANY approaches/trainers are contributing to improvements in animal welfare, even if they aren’t perfect or highly advanced (yet). If you feel that your conscious, gentle, science-based, or compassionate methods are holding you back in business—and you don’t use flooding or punishment—you’re welcome here.

It’s online, but SUPER chill in the tech department. You’ll want a computer or laptop.

As for software, you’ll be encouraged to use a scheduler (like Calendly), a video conference platform (like Zoom), a simple place to make designs (Canva), and a place to store & workshop strategy & content (Google drive/docs, or Notion). All have free versions.

That’s it! No website, funnels, course platforms, or other pricy shtuff to slow your roll in the beginning.
